Makassar – Smiles and thanks filled the afternoon atmosphere as the fast-breaking time approached at Simpang Lima Airport. Amidst heavy traffic, personnel from Sultan Hasanuddin Air Force Base were present to share the joy by distributing takjil (breaking fast) to residents and road users on Friday (27/2/2026).
One by one, the takjil packages were handed out directly to motorcycle and car drivers, as well as local residents passing by. The presence of Sultan Hasanuddin Air Force Base soldiers, led by Colonel Pom I Nyoman Swardita, SH, MIPol., Head of the Sultan Hasanuddin Air Force Base Territorial Service, with their friendliness and sincerity, created a warm and togetherness atmosphere, making Ramadan even more meaningful for the community.
Sultan Hasanuddin Air Force Base Commander Air Marshal Arifaini Nur Dwiyanto, M.Han., said that this takjil sharing activity was a form of concern and empathy from the Indonesian Air Force to the community, especially for those who were still traveling when the time to break the fast arrived.
“Ramadan teaches us about sincerity and caring. Through this simple activity, we hope to lighten the load and bring joy to the community. The Indonesian Air Force will always strive to be present, close, and beneficial to its surrounding community,” said the Air Force Base Commander.
This activity not only serves as a means of sharing wealth but also strengthens the emotional bond between Indonesian Air Force personnel and the community. The resulting togetherness is expected to further strengthen synergy and public trust in the Indonesian Air Force.
Through this takjil (breaking of fast) distribution, Sultan Hasanuddin Air Force Base reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to spread the values of humanity, devotion, and togetherness, in line with the blessed spirit of Ramadan. (Sultan Hasanuddin Air Force Base)
